Polymer Processing Operations (Wales)

The Polymer Processing Operations Apprenticeship Framework provides work based training for young people and adults to undertake key technical and operational roles in the Polymer Processing Industries.


There are two levels of Apprenticeship contained in this framework:
• The Foundation Apprenticeship (Level 2) in Polymer Processing Operations (Usually takes 12 months to complete)
• The Apprenticeship (Level 3) in Polymer Processing Operations  (Usually takes 24 to 36 months to complete)

This apprenticeship framework provides a vocational pathway into the profession of sports development. The framework will ensure there are people with the organisational skills and political and social awareness to succeed in this important part of the sport and active leisure industry.

The expectation is that the achievement of this framework will require a minimum duration of 12 months.

Please note it is recommended that apprentices are contracted and employed for a minimum of 30 hours on publicly funded programmes.

Vehicle Body and Paint - non statutory (Wales)

The industry relies on a steady flow of new entrants and apprentices help to meet the skills needs of employers and to replace an ageing workforce. Foundation apprentices (Level 2) will train as technicians repairing and restoring body and paintwork or repairing and replacing windscreens on a range of light and heavy vehicles.
